pickled jalapeño

2 tsp salt 1/2 cup sugar 1 cup water 1 cup distilled white vinegar 1. cut jalepenos - add 1/2 tsp for dry brine, let sit for 30 mins 2. in a pot, add water, sugar, vinegar and remainder of salt. bring to a near boil to dissolve sugar. let cool completely. add jalepenos.
