pickled jalapeño

2 tsp salt (fine pink) 1/2 cup sugar 1 cup water 1 cup distilled white vinegar 1. cut jalepenos - add 1/2 tsp for dry brine, let sit for 30 mins 2. in a pot, add water, sugar, vinegar and remainder of salt. bring to a near boil to dissolve sugar. let cool completely. add jalepenos. next time try 3 tsp salt to 1/2 cup sugar OR 1/3 cup sugar, 2 tsp salt
